A photo of Governor Nyong'o posing with her daughter on the edge of a king size bed has elicited mixed reactions on social media.
Cultural puritans have hit out at the Kisumu County boss for violating Luo cultural norms by taking that pose.
The liberal ones have contended that there is nothing wrong with the pose and those criticising it are reading too much into it.

Reports indicate that journalists were barred from taking shots of her.
