According to The Naivasha Professionals Association, the governor’s move is likely to have legal consequences.

Speaking on behalf of the association, chief executive officer Absalom Mukusi said that the action of the county boss is a bad precedent, adding that some of the officers have been working at the county for more than a decade.

 “Some of those sent on leave have worked for the municipal councils and the county for more than 20 years,” he said.

 The governor suspended senior officers in what he termed a move to ensure better service delivery.  The associate, however, backed him over the suspension of some of the senior officers who have been hindering service delivery.

On Tuesday, Cotu secretary-general Francis Atwoli warned county boss against sending home county workers haphazardly.
