Kisii Governor James Ongwae has promised to upgrade Marani hospital, in Kitutu Chache North into a level four hospital.
Governor Ongwae said that his adminstration had set aside funds to cater for the same.
He said that the County Government is going to renovate and extend the hospitals administration block amd equally equip the facility.
"As a county government we need to ensure that our people get proper medical treatment so that they don't struggle travelling long distances seeking medical attention.
He equally asked locals in the county to be patient as he was busy launching more development projects.
He said that his administration had plans of opening up peripheral facilities in all the constituencies in the county.
"In this constituency am planning to open up Nyabonge, Nyabworoba, Engoto and Nyachogu dispensaries so as they can access treatment," he said.
