Kisii Governor James Ongwae held a consultative session with the Agile and Harmonised Assistance for Devolved Institutions (AHADI) Kenya Country Director Waceke Wachira, to discuss areas of collaboration with the Kisii County government. 

AHADI is an integrated governance programme aimed at enhancing capacity to implement devolution.Kisii County government and AHADI will collaborate in capacity building to strengthen governance systems so as to actualize devolution.

Ongwae said AHADI would offer technical support through training, mentoring and knowledge sharing. 

"Focus will be on integrating citizen participation in policy development and implementation," he said on Wednesday.

Other areas include induction trainings, development of 10-year sector plans, preparation of the second generation County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP), support for own-source revenue generation, capacity development for county education boards and performance management.
