Governor Lee Kinyanjui has asked investigators into the Lake Nakuru chopper crash to conduct quick inquiry into the cause of the accident.

The county boss said detailed investigation would help to avert such accidents in the future.

"Aircraft investigators should speed up investigations to avoid such kind of crashes," he said.

Kinyanjui was speaking during the burial of Veronicah Muthoni at Kabatini village in Nakuru County.

Muthoni, who was buried on Saturday, perished alongside four others in a tragic helicopter crash almost two months ago.

The bodies of two victims; John Mapozi and Sam Gitau are still missing.

The Governor pledged to support the ongoing search mission to ensure the bodies are found and retrieved.

"The county is collaborating with the national government to advance search mission at the lake to recover the two missing bodies. This is a trying moment for the affected families and we pray for God's strength and comfort," Kinyanjui was quoted by The Standard.
