Nakuru governor Kinuthia Mbugua has pledged to work with investors to boost the economy of Nakuru County
Kinuthia said this on Thursday after hosting a delegation of investors from the USA. The team preceded the coming of President Barack Obama who is expected to announce multi-billion deals with Kenya.
“It is my desire to see that my people have access to basic services with ease without them having to travel for long distances to acquire them. However, we cannot achieve this without cooperating fully and encouraging investors to invest in the county,” said Mbugua.
Nakuru is among the first counties to seal investment deals with the US and Mbugua believes this is a major step for the county.
The county is set to benefit from two projects funded by American investors and scholars to a tune of Shs165 billion.
