Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has promised to work round the clock to see that education in the county is improved.
Speaking on Wednesday, Sonko said he had held a consultative meeting with Director Regional Office for Eastern Africa Ann Theresa Ndong Jatta at City Hall where they had outlined strategies to push education forward.
"We discussed among other things how to strengthen learning opportunities and how to promote collaboration between local participants from various sectors," he said.
Education has been a major concern to Nairobi leaders.
In Kibra, area MP Ken Okoth has initiated the Elimu Kwanza Initiative that seeks to ensure all children get quality education.
Part of his strategy is to establish education institutions and strengthen those that already exist.
