Governor Jackson Mandago while addressing members of public on Sunday during an inter-faith church service and fundraising in Moi's Bridge said the tender has already been advertised.

"I was personally in Nairobi last week and we are glad that tenders are already placed," he said.

The county boss noted the importance of the road as it links the biggest portion of North Rift cereal producing areas to the cereals board depot in Moi's Bridge.

"The importance of that road is what made us push for revamping of that road," he said.

He also said that another road project also in tendering is the proposed tarmacking of Eldoret-Kiplombe-Ziwa road, which connects farmers from rural Ziwa to Eldoret town.

The governor said this will aid farmers to get to the market for their produce with ease.

According to the governor, the county prides having improved over 2000 kilometres of roads, and over 20 modern bridges in the past three years.

He also said that Sh600 million was spent on purchase of roads equipment last year.
