The three were appointed to serve in the executive wing of the county government in the ministries they headed between 2013 and 2017.
Ahmed Sheikh Mohamed was retained as CeC for Health while Johora Mohammed Abdi will continue serving in the Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries docket.
Abdiaziz Sheikh Maad will continue steering the Public Service and Devolved Units department for another five-year term.
Sources say the three were retained because of their exemplary performance since 2013 when county governments were operationalised.
Others appointed to head dockets which Mandera residents will depend on to realise development in the arid county include Izzudin Abdullahi Adan (Education, Sports and Culture), Mohamud Adan Mohamed (Trade, Investment and Industrialisation), Mohamed Ali Omar (Water, Energy, Environment and Natutal Resources) and Sulekha Hulbale Harun who will head the Roads, Transport and Public Works docket.
Roba retained his seat after successfully defending it on a Jubilee Party ticket.
He is among Jubilee’s point men in North Eastern, a region that has suffered marginalization since 1963 when Kenya attained her independence.
