Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago now says President Uhuru Kenyatta will be sworn in as early as on Monday following Thursday's repeat Presidential election.Mandago said the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) had delivered its mandate of conducting an election hence its time for the country to move on.Addressing the press in Eldoret town on Friday, Mandago said Thursday's repeat poll had attained the constitutional threshold for Kenyatta to be declared a duly elected President."The constitution says the President must garner over 50 percent of the votes cast and at least 25 percent of votes in at least counties and as it is now we've already surpassed that minimum threshold," said the vocal Jubilee governor."Actually we are now looking at the possibility of swearing in the President on Monday if we go by the new election laws that Parliament passed the other day," he added.Mandago further said it was time for Kenyans to put aside their political differences and focus on building the country's economy together."We've wasted a lot of time as Kenyans, you can imagine almost a whole year politicking," he said.
