Tana River Governor Hussein Dado has boldly stated why he left Wiper party and joined Jubilee.Dado said the opposition National Super Alliance (NASA) has little to offer to Kenyans and that there were high chances the opposition will lose during the August poll."I am tired of leading my people in the opposite direction," he said during a tour of development projects in Assa Kone at Garsen constituency on Tuesday."I will go round my expansive county to notify the electorate that I am no longer in the opposition that is facing wrangles from within. I will urge them to support President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Jubilee Party," said Dado. The county boss said being in the opposition for the last ten years since 2007 has been a challenge for the people of Tana River. He said he was joining the government to lobby and demand for equity in the distribution of the national cake.Dado quit Wiper party two weeks ago during President Uhuru's tour of the Coast region. His departure from the opposition brings to two the number of NASA-allied Coast governors who have joined the ruling party after Kwale's Salim Mvurya left ODM and joined Jubilee Party. The two, however, face a daunting re-election task as Coast region is perceived an opposition stronghold.
