Speaking after being sworn into office for a second term at the Moi stadium in Mandera, Roba said that the state of insecurity occasioned by frequent terror attacks has slowed down development.

Roba said that deployment of more security officers will guarantee locals safety and give them confidence to run their activities  without fear.

The governor said that he is ready to work with national security agencies to boost security.

"I  will cooperate and support securtiy measueas being put in place by the national government to ensure locals safety is guaranteed,"he said as quoted by the Standard.

Roba who won re-re-relection on Jubilee Party ticket cautioned young people against being lured by terrorist  and criminal agents.

He said his government will work on a raft of measures to create jobs in order to prevent youth from falling to crime.

Means while , Roba has asked poll losers in the county to work with his government.

He said that he is ready to listen to the advice and ideologies of leaders who failed to win respective seats.

Governor Roba won re-election trouncing his fiercest rival and former Provincial Commissioner Hassan Noor Hassan who was vying on Economic Freedom Party. (EFP)
