Mandera Governor Ali Roba has asked opposition leaders to stop politicking and give Jubilee government space to deliver services to Kenyans.
Roba argues that NASA continued politicking is creating an unstable environment for the Jubilee administration to work in.
Speaking in Mandera Town on Monday during meet the people tour to celebrate High court ruling that upends his victory, Roba asked NASA to wait for 2022.
He said that the opposition leaders are being selfish by engaging Kenyans into unending politics.
“Kenyans want to move after a long and tiring electoral process in 2017 and the opposition should understand that,” he said.
Roba said that NASA will not gain by holding the country into political ransom.
The Jubilee governor asked Raila to support President Uhuru Kenyatta’s development agenda instead of allegedly inciting Kenyans against his administration.
Roba rubbished NASA's theory that Jubilee is an illegitimate administration, stating that Uhuru has the constitutional power to rule.
The Jubilee governor asked Kenyans to shun opposition leaders who he said have nothing to offer.
NASA top leaders maintain that they don’t recognize Uhuru Kenyatta presidency and that their push for electoral reforms and the fresh election is still on.
However, NASA’s push for reforms seems to be hitting a snag as claims of cracks and suspicions among the leaders continue to emerge.
Political pundits are predicting the coalition fall in the near future.
On Saturday, Raila was quoted saying that some people in the coalition are about to betray him.
The former Prime Minister asked his supporters to brace up for tough times ahead in regards to electoral reforms push.
A section of ODM politicians has openly said that Raila will be on the ballot in 2022 creating more suspicion in the NASA coalition.
Raila signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kalonzo in 2017 that is to see him fly the NASA ticket in 2022.
Kalonzo’s Wiper party will hold a delegates meeting on March 16 in Nairobi to discuss and decide on its future in the Raila Odinga led coalition.
