Governor Roba states that Raila and NASA must accept defeat if they are beaten by Jubilee. He said that the opposition has in the past disputed poll results even after losing fairly.

“I want to appeal to our friend Raila Odinga and is NASA team to accept defeat if they lose to Jubilee on August 8,” he said as quoted by the Standard.

The governor said that the country’s democratic space has grown adding that elections is no longer a matter of life and death.

He said that it is democratic for losers to concede if they lose in a free and fair election.

Roba  noted that President Uhuru Kenyatta has declared his stand that he will conceded if beaten by Raila and that NASA should follow suit and declare their stand.

The Mandera governor at the same time asked NASA to forget about North Eastern votes.

He said that the region is firmly behind UhuRuto’s e-election bid. He dismissed claims being propagated that the region will endorse NASA.

Roba said that NASA has nothing to give to the Somali and Muslim community living in Northern Kenya. The governor said that the Muslim community and the Somali at large is happy with the Jubilee’s development agenda.

Roba asked residents not to be confused by politicians who he said are using divisive tactics to create disunity ahead of the polls.

Governor Roba is seeking re-election on Jubilee Party ticket.
