Kitui governor Dr Julius Malombe has called upon residents of his backyard to elect Wiper leaders in the forthcoming general elections. The county boss, who defeated Senator David Musila during nominations, said that six-piece voting will strengthen the party.

The lawmaker also said that this form of voting will increase Kalonzo, now NASA running mate, chances of rising to power come 2022.

The governor was speaking in Tseikuru, Mwingi North where he also urged the local residents to rally behind Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga as he looks forward to rising to power.

“Anything outside Wiper should not be considered because it will weaken the party,” he said as quoted by Star.

NASA, whose affiliates are Ford Kenya, ANC, ODM, Wiper and CCM, has been experiencing different issues including disagreement over the six-piece voting system.

This system of voting has been opposed by a section of leaders aligned to different NASA affiliates on the grounds that it is not favoring all of them in some regions.

ANC Leader Musalia Mudavadi, Ford Kenya Leader Moses Wetangula, ODM Leader Raila Amolo Odinga and Wiper Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka have all been rooting for six-piece voting.
