Siaya County Governor Cornel Rasanga has dismissed the recently released County Audit report terming it as unfair and biased.
He said that the report which was conducted by Siaya County Leadership and Development Forum did not involve the input of his office, that of his officers nor that of the County Assembly.
Rasanga rubbished the claims that he is arrogant, harsh and incompetent according to the report which was launched last week.
The report also indicated that majority of the Siaya residents lack confidence in him and his county government.
Rasanga also questioned the timing of the social audit adding that the audit report was released at a time when the county government had not spent all the funds allocated to it.
The governor accused the organisers and financers of the social audit report of having ill motives as they were engaging in witch hunt instead of concentrating in development matters.
“Let us all engage in constructive criticism and consultation in the affairs of county development other than engaging on baseless criticism,” said the governor.
He further said that his office will conduct its own independent and fair social audit on projects in the county and provide the residents with elaborate answers to the audit report.
