Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has said he has nothing personal against Deputy President William Ruto as being portrayed in some sections of the media.
Speaking during an interview on KTN on Sunday, the governor said his differences with DP Ruto are only based on issues and ideologies.
“I have nothing personal against the DP, our differences are based on our different stands on key issues facing the common mwananchi,” he said.
Ruto further said his relationship with the DP is cordial.
“The problem I have with the DP and people close to him is that they don’t consult on key issues,” he said.
The county boss accused the DP and Jubilee administration of allegedly running State affairs on personal grounds.
“Jubilee is running government affairs as their own their personal issues, they don’t consult and they also don’t engage Kenyans,” he claimed.
Meanwhile, the governor has said the South Rift region is no longer a Jubilee zone.
He said his Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) party has taken over the South Rift and other Rift Valley regions.
“Jubilee no longer has space in South Rift and things are going more as approach the August general election,” he said ruing the interview.
The Bomet Governor has been a fierce critic of the deputy president ever since they fell out.
