Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto is due to return to the country, from South Africa where he had gone for further treatment after sustaining injuries during a rally.
In a statement to newsrooms, the Council of Governors confirmed the governor will land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport today (Friday).
The governor is expected to address the media shortly after his arrival at 5pm.
Ruto had flown to SA for specialised treatment for an eye injury he sustained after he was hit by a teargas canister on Sunday November 7.
The council has condemned use of excessive force by police officers.
