Chama Cha Maendeleo and Bomet governor IsaccRuto has called on Deputy President William Ruto to keep off politics of the county.
According to the governor, the people of Bomet will not be told how to exercise their own rights during the August polls.
“The deputy president is not my campaign manager and he should know that even in 2013 I campaigned for him and President Uhuru Kenyatta and it is not vice versa,” Governor Ruto said.
The governor has also expressed confidence that he will be re-elected during the August 2017 polls.
“I will trounce Jubilee in Bomet at 9 in the morning and there is no doubt about my retaining the gubernatorial seat,” he said.
