Bomet Governor, Isaac Ruto, has ordered his deputy, Stephen Mutai, to return government properties to his name and focus on campaigns.

Muatai is seeking to unseat Ruto during the August general election.

“I don’t know where he is and I think I will release him to go for his campaigns immediately and he should hand over government property,” said Ruto.

The county boss was speaking during a swearing ceremony of new county officials.

According to the Chama Cha Mashinani boss, his deputy had absconded his duties and there was no need of keeping him.
