Newly formed Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM)is set to roll out nationwide recruitment in October as the party seeks to grow its support base across the country.

The party’s top organ, National Executive Committee, approved the plan in a Nairobi meeting on Tuesday

Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto, who is also the party leader has said some of his colleagues across the political divide have shown interest to join the party.

Mr Ruto in July launched CCM at Siongiroi in an event attended by thousands of supporters.

Several politicians attended the function and gave their support to the Bomet governor including elected leaders.

The leaders who attended the launch of the party included Isiolo Deputy Governor Mohamed Gulleid, Kuresoi South MP Zakayo Cheruiyot, Emurua Dikkir Legislator Johana Ngeno and several MCAs from Bomet county.

CCM will be challenging Jubilee in Rift Valley.
