Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto has challenged Jubilee supporters to avoid attending his rallies as mitigation to chaos during campaigns.
Both Rutto and Sotik MP Joyce Laboso are expected to stage a fierce competition in governorship as elections draws near.
And in his Monday’s remark, he urged Jubilee supporters to avoid attending NASA rallies to avert incidents of violence.
“We are all peaceful but there are some people who always come to disrupt other people’s rallies. I want to caution Jubilee against disrupting our rallies across the country,” he said.
The CCM leader added: “They are not compelled to attend our rallies. We shall not take any attempt to disrupt us lightly.”
During a rally at Emurua Dikir recently, supporters of CCM and Jubilee fought in Narok leading to the death of one person.
The fifth NASA principal is spearheading opposition campaigns in Rift Valley and has been a fierce critic of Jubilee administration.
