The war of words between Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto and Deputy President William Ruto is unlikely to end with the duo keen to stamp their authority in South Rift region.
While Governor Rutto is keen to deliver for opposition outfit NASA, the DP is keep to consolidate his support base ahead of 2022 elections.
And on Sunday at Chepalungu, Rutto labeled DP ‘MV Mashamba’ in reference to his periodical land grabbing accusations.
“I want to warn MV Mashamba that he should concentrate on national politics. If he continues to impose projects on us, he should be ready for a lifetime lesson.
“We are not bags of potatoes and it I important that he ceases to abuse people carelessly. His antics can’t work in this modern era,” added Rutto.
With both keen to win elective seats in August, Governor Rutto has fielded a number of candidates on his Chama Cha Mashinani party in most parts of the country.
Recently, the DP urged South Rift residents to elect Jubilee candidates in August elections.
