Isaac Ruto has equated his expected portfolio in opposition outfit NASA should Raila Odinga win to DP William Ruto’s position in the current Jubilee government.
The Bomet Governor has been wrestling the vote rich south Rift from the DP and has launched a spirited campaign to deliver for the opposition.
And on Sunday Rutto urged the Kalenjin community to support NASA adding that his expected position is equivalent to the DP’s role in Jubilee government.
“This is the time that we need to put our house in order and move with the rest of Kenyans. Kalenjins should vote for NASA if we want to improve the economy of this country,” he said on Sunday at Narok.
The CCM party leader added: “I will be Deputy Premier in NASA and I don’t see any difference with that of the DP. He should not hoodwink us to vote for Jubilee.”
Inside the NASA deal, Rutto’s party was offered a Deputy Premier position and equal principal stature with his other co-principals.
Although he will go for Bomet Governorship and if he wins, he will be forced to resign for the new position should NASA win.
