Outgoing Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto says he will live happily after handing over power to his immediate successor Joyce Laboso.

In the recently concluded elections, Rutto lost to Laboso, who has been serving as Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly.

On Tuesday at Bomet, Rutto urged the incoming government to work for people regardless of the political believe.

“We may not agree all the time but there comes a time when we have to accept the choice of people. I congratulate my worthy competitor.

“It is time to work together and I wail not hesitate to help where I am needed. We cannot politic all the time and as a person, I have moved on,” he said.

The outspoken Governor supported opposition leader Raila Odinga and his CCM party failed to win even a single parliamentary seat.

In his speech, he showed signs of concession when he urged Kenyans to unite after ‘tough’ elections for the sake of peace and posterity in the coming years.
