Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto insists that opposition outfit NASA will beat Jubilee in Rift Valley despite being perceived a Jubilee stronghold.
Last week the outspoken governor endured torrid moments when he toured Baringo County with opposition leader Raila Odinga as locals labeled him a traitor.
And campaigning at Mulot on Saturday, Rutto urged Kalenjin community to rally behind the opposition leader to increase their stake of being represented in government.
“I am quite confident that Jubilee will lose badly in Rift Valley. People are tired of these corrupt fellows who do not mind about poor Kenyans.
“I want my fellow Kalenjins to know the truth and vote wisely. Based on what we have done, I am confident that my people will never again vote for Jubilee,” he said.
In his Bomet backyard, Rutto is facing stiff resistance from National Assembly Deputy Speaker Joyce Laboso who also doubles as Sotik MP.
Also helping Governor Rutto to consolidate support in the South Rift region is Emurua Dikir MP Johanna Ng’eno.
