A sensational video circulating online shows Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto playing a pre-recorded audio in which Deputy President appears to be heckled by North Rift residents.

The rebellious former Chepalungu MP is then heard cautioning locals against voting Jubilee due to ‘renaissance’ that could find them off guard in August.

In the Clip, the DP is heard persuading Elgeyo- Marakwet residents to vote for Jubilee in vain with locals responding by chanting pro-NASA slogans.

“I told you that things are not the same again. This is Ruto being heckled at Iten where Jubilee has been enjoying support,” he told Nakuru residents on Friday.

“The country is ripe for change and we cannot allow Kalenjins to remain behind. Let us move with the rest of Kenyans by voting NASA,” adds Rutto.

During their trip to North Rift region, the DP was captured being heckled by locals at Iten and the incident replicated in Kericho County, a couple of weeks later.

Regarded as a Jubilee stronghold, analysts say that Rift Valley region could turn to be a tossup, a move that could be detrimental to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election.
