Bomet governor Isaac Rutto has told off Jubilee over his position and role in the opposition coalition NASA.

The governor was responding to claims by Deputy President William Ruto that the Chama Cha Mashinani leader's position in the NASA arrangement is inconsequential.

Speaking in Narok South on Saturday, the governor maintained that he holds an influential and significant position in NASA, adding that all the principals in the outfit are equal.

“I have heard some people claim that by voting for NASA and myself, the Kalenjin will not benefit. Do not be fooled. I am equally powerful and will use that position to deliver development,” he noted.

He used the opportunity to drum up support for NASA presidential candidate, arguing that the former Prime Minister means well for the country.

“What sin did Raila Odinga do to us (Kalenjin) that he cannot be forgiven?” he posed.

The outspoken county chief joined forces with the opposition leaders in April as the fifth principal.
