Despite the uncertainty surrounding choosing of National super Alliance flag bearer, outspoken Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto is set to be received by opposition principals in Nairobi on Tuesday.
Having been scheduled to join NASA principals in Kilifi for talks, the meeting was postponed under unclear circumstances with each side preparing to enter the make or break talks.
The rebellious county chief endorsed the opposition coalition adding that he was confident of victory in August.
“All the four principals were briefed about Rutto’s entrance and they were excited. He will be instrumental in our quest for presidency,” said an MP who spoke in confidence.
“He will be received on Tuesday in Nairobi before they proceed for a bonding session,” said the MP adding that specifications about CCM’s deal with NASA will be released soon.
With only four months to elections, the opposition coalition is struggling to pick a candidate who will battle with President Uhuru Kenyatta of Jubilee.
Raila Odinga, Moses Wetangula, Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka are in pursuit of the NASA presidential ticket.
