Nandi Governor Stephen Sang visited victims of the collapsed building at the Kapsabet County Referral Hospital, where he wished them a quick recovery. The three storey building believed to be a private hospital, that was under construction collapsed in Kapasabet town,ThursdayRescue mission led by the Kenya Red Cross Society led the rescue mission, after a number of people were trapped in the rubble.Sang also visited the scene and hailed members of public, Kenya Red Cross, Uasin Gishu County government and his County health workers for springing into action to rescue lives. "We are lucky that the tragedy came at a time when our Referral Hospital is now fully operational. A number of the victims have been treated and discharged and others are still undergoing treatment," said the governor.He affirmed that his government would expedite the setting up of a disaster management and mitigation unit.
