Nakuru county governor Lee Kinyanjui has pledged to work closely with MCAs in bid to fight corruption and wastage of resources in his administration.

Governor kinyanjui said the future development of the region will depend on how the county leaders will address the corruption menace.

"A corruption government will not achieve any development. Leaders must stand against graft to develop the county," he said.

He called on the assembly to draft stringent laws that would help curb corruption in the county.

He warned that anyone found engaging in corruption will be arrested and charged in court.

"Anyone engaging in corruption belongs to jail. Our people want to be served better and improve livelihoods and not embezzling  funds meant for development purposes to benefit our people", he said.
