Taita Taveta Governor Granton Samboja on Sunday attended a prayer rally at Voi Bus Park for the county's transport sector organised by Voi Boda Boda operators and Pastor Nathan Maina.
They had a prayer session and walked to Caltex junction to cleanse the road transport sector.
Samboja urged all Boda Boda operators across the county to organise themselves to form a cooperative which will enable them achieve a lot and act as a tool in pursuing their welfare.
"I pledge to closely work with the association after establishment with an aim of making our lives better and boost our economy," said Samboja, adding that in the coming week "we are going to meet to deliberate on some few issues.
"Earlier, Samboja joined believers at ACK St. Peter's Church, Mwachawaza for a fellowship.
He expressed satisfaction following the turn out during the County Integrated Development Plan public participation forums which concluded on January 31.
"Your participation was not in vein and I assure you that your proposals will be incorporated in the execution of our development projects for the coming five years," he said.
