Governor Sonko has warned Kenyans about the existence of a fake Facebook page purporting to recruit youths for county jobs.

The flamboyant governor said that he was not recruiting anyone for any job at a Sh300 fee and that he has only one genuine Facebook page with 13 million followers.

He warned the impostors that they will face the full weight of the law in the fullness of time.

'' PUBLIC NOTICE:

This is to warn members of the public to IGNORE any advertisement purporting to invite members of the public that the Sonko Rescue Team is recruiting trainees to assist in the delivery of services countrywide.

Please take note that the Facebook account where such adverts are placed are fake account and should be ignored.

Sonko Rescue Team takes this opportunity to warn the fraudsters and conmen that very soon the long arm of the law shall catch up with them.'' Sonko wrote on his Facebook page.

The advert on the fake account encouraged the public to apply for 10,000 jobs in the Sonko Rescue Team to earn between Sh25,000 and Sh40,000.

An investigation by a leading newspaper found that those who applied were supposed to part with Sh.300 to get the non-existent jobs.
