Nakuru County employees have been challenged to be whistle blowers to flush out corrupt officers from the county.
According Governor Lee Kinyanjui about 30 percent of funds sent from the National government are stolen by corrupt officials.
“County workers must know those embezzling funds meant for development. My administration will not condone corruption which will derail development. For this reason therefore, I call on county staff to be whistle blowers on those who will be making fake licenses and other dubious dealings,” he said.
Kinyanjui assured that anyone who will volunteer the names of corrupt officials will not be exposed.
“The identity of those who will offer information about the illegal dealings will be protected for their efforts to end graft in the county,” said Kinyanjui.
The governor added that he will work closely with MCAs to put measures to end corruption.
