Kisii County governor James Ongwae has thanked Members of the County Assembly for working closely with him and passing Bills that have seen the smooth running of the county affairs.
Ongwae was speaking at the County Assembly ground when they resumed sessions after having a 51 days break.
He said that he has asked his County Executives (CeCs) and other officers to ensure that 90 percent of the county development projects that are supposed to take place this year are complete.
He also said that as from next month all his CeCs will have to sign performance contracts to enable him know how competent they are and the much they shall have achieved.
“I thank the MCAs for creating a good working atmosphere for the county government. I have asked my CeCs to ensure that 90% of ongoing projects are completed by the end of this year and they shall sign performance contracts to ensure this is achieved,” said Governor Ongwae.
The Kisii County Assembly Speaker Kerosi Ondieki also called on the Members of County Assembly to have unity as the voice of the Kisii people and join hands in the passing of important Bills that are set to benefit the people that they are representing.
“I urge you to work together as representatives of Omogusii and join hands in passing of Bills will benefit people of Kisii County,” said Ondieki.
Kisii Senator Chris Obure was present and called for the unity of the leaders for development and to better the lives of Kisii residents.
