Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has praised President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto for visiting his county and launching development projects.

Mbugua said Friday the President and his deputy 's two- day visit to the county had ensured great strides as far as development is concerned, adding that the move will goa long way in transforming the lives of Nakuru residents.

Projects such as the Nakuru (3) Interchange along (A104) road at Nyahururu turnoff-Njoro turnoff and Mau Summit junction, the managed equipment service launch at the Rift Valley Provincial General Hospital, the construction of Dundori-Oljoro Rok road and the rehabilitation of the Molo-Olenguruone- Kibunjia road were some of the goodies the President's visit brought along.

Mbugua also extended his gratitude to residents of the county for turning out in large numbers to welcome the Head of State Kenyatta and his deputy saying they  had shown that they are great hosts.

The president was in the county on Wedmesday and Thursday in  what State House described as an official visit.
