Speaking in Faza Island when he escorted the ANC leader on a meet-the-people, Timamy said he supported the ANC party because of its clear manifesto which had the interests of all Kenyans at heart.

He also hailed the party leader for standing with him when he was earlier arrested over the Mpeketoni attacks.

“I rejected Jubilee's offer for ANC and Mudavadi. He did not get many votes in Lamu but we want locals to vote overwhelmingly for him this time," he said.

Other leaders at the rally were MPs Alfred Agoi (Sabatia) and Sakwa Bunyasi (Nambale), ANC deputy party leader Kassim Tandaza and area MCA Mohammed Abasi.

Mudavadi will conclude his tour today Sunday.
