The governor said that his administration is motivated to build a strong foundation for their children by investing and ensuring ECD teachers get quality education.
He said that the aim is to ensure all primary schools have fully fledge ECDE centres complete with necessary infrastructure and resources such as classrooms and standard playground facilities.
Speaking at Garissa Primary School playground, Governor Korane said they will invest in vocational education both in terms of infrastructural development and human capacity.
“My administration intends to establish a modern early childhood development education training centre and college to equip teachers with the knowledge and skills that will help them succeed in providing quality education to our children.”
“We intend to employ qualified ECDE teachers in all centres to ensure quality and standards are maintained across all centres. We will also enroll our youth in the vocational centres to equip them with technical skills,” said the governor.
