Kakamega County Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has dismissed reports that he has defected to the ruling party, Jubilee.Speaking on Saturday, Oparanya accused Deputy President William Ruto of spreading the propaganda and demanded an apology from the Jubilee Party deputy leader."I expect an immediate correction and apology from the Deputy President," he said.Oparanya, who is Raila Odinga's deputy party leader in ODM, assured his supporters that he still in the Opposition, saying the rumours of his defection should be ignored."I wish therefore to bring to the attention of the citizens of Kakamega and the NASA fraternity in Kenya that the statement by the Deputy President was cheap propaganda and should be ignored," added the governor.Jubilee Party has been receiving defectors from NASA with the latest being former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar and Kajiado ex-governor David Ole Nkedianye.
