A governor has offered to name two street in his county in after youth who recently died during the anti-IEBC demonstrations.

Siaya's Cornel Rasanga said plans are underway to name two roads in honour of youth killed during anti-IEBC protests in his county.

The youth were killed three weeks ago when police fought with protesters in Kisumu.

The two identified as Austine Omwombo and Churchill Omondi, were buried last week.

A child was also hit by a stray bullet allegedly fired by a police officer although he survived after quick medical attention was given to him.

The bullet was also removed from his body.

Mr Rasanga had been accused by Township MCA James Obiero Otare of giving empty promises to the families of the deceased youth.

Mr Obier said the governor's words had never been put into actions.

''We are planning to name two roads after our two brave brothers who stood with the rest of Kenyans not to allow the un-trusted electoral body in office,'' said Rasanga on Friday.

During the protests, another two people died in Kisumu.
