Narok governor Samuel Tunai has appealed to the county's residents not to vote for Opposition coalition NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga during the forthcoming polls.
Speaking in Narok Town on Wednesday, Tunai urged the residents to instead back President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election bid, noting that they stand to gain a lot under Kenyatta's administration.
He further noted that he cannot be comfortable with a Raila presidency, stating that Uhuru is the only person he can work with cordially.
“Please don’t vote for Raila. I don’t know how to work with him. Uhuru is the best person I can work with," he said.
“All these opposition leaders have been in government and there is nothing we can celebrate as Kenyans,” he added.
Tunai was charged with the responsibility of spearheading Jubilee Party campaigns in the Maasai Community.
Narok county is one of the counties that has been earmarked as a swing county by political parties.
