Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya has asked residents in the county to vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta in the repeat presidential election slated for October 17.

Mvurya asked residents not to be deceived by the opposition and instead urged them to re-elect Uhuru arguing that he has the interest of Coast people at heart.“We are going for a repeat presidential election and I am calling on you (residents) to re-elect Uhuru Kenyatta for a second term,” said Mvurya, as quoted by the Standard.He said Uhuru’s administration has achieved much development and should be given another term, adding that the opposition NASA coalition should keep of the region.The Governor said Uhuru will beat NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga with a huge margin as the opposition has nothing new to offer residents apart from their empty rhetoric.“Raila Odinga should prepare and expect a thunderous beating which will finally send him to retirement,” he said.The repeat presidential election according to the IEBC will only be between Uhuru and Raila.
