Former Saku MP Jarso Falana has pledged with the county boss not to fire county workers like other his counterparts have been doing for the sake of uniting the communities in this region, as Star reports.

Addressing the public in Mandera town on Monday, Falana said Marsabit is known for conflicts, adding that it will be unwise for the county boss to sack workers after he took over office following his victory during the last general elections.

He, instead, asked the new governor to focus on uniting the communities in the region for the sake of development.

He also called upon former Governor Ukur Yattani, who lost during the last general election, to support the new leadership for the sake of the people.

He further reminded Ali to corporate with other leaders and his predecessors in rebuilding the county for economic growth to be realized in the long run.

In the meantime, several governors have sacked officials from county governments over different reasons.

In Nairobi, newly elected governor Mike Sonko has said that he will only sack corrupt officials. In Machakos, Governor Alfred Mutua suspended more than 400 workers.
