Ongwae who was speaking while at the burial of Cynthia Obwoge at Marani in Kitutu Chache North said that all those who feel that they have been aggrieved by the Finance Act should follow the right procedures to have these grievances listened to.

“This is a very important act for the county and as you all know the county cannot run without funds. I strongly ask all the people who feel that the finance act is not good to them, they should kindly follow the right procedure so that their issues can be heard and listened to,” Ongwae said.

Ongwae who was speaking on Saturday said that this week’s demonstrations were all politically castigated.

“We should avoid politics and concentrate on the development. The time for politics has not yet come. The protesters who marched on the streets of Kisii were all paid by some politicians. I wonder what their motives were,” Ongwae said.

Last week a group of protesters from Kisii town marched through the streets of Kisii protesting against the increased licence fees.
