This is to ensure that the state corporation provide health insurance to all locals above the age of 18.

Registration with the medical scheme will also aid the residents in identifying their preferred health facilities.

Mandago was speaking after opening the National Health insurance Fund (NHIF) stakeholders forum that kicked off in Eldoret on Monday.

Moiben Member of Parliament Silas Tiren was also in attendance.

The governor said the county executive and the assembly have been sensitising the public on the need to register with the national medical scheme.

"We will not tire until all the people of Uasin Gishu County have registered with the medical scheme. This is our hope as a county that we shall all be contributing to the scheme," he said.
