Speaking at Naivasha town, Mbugua said that Nakuru residents deserve to be issued with land titles to curb rising land conflict cases.

The governor said that many residents have waited for too long to get the important land ownership documents.

“I want to ask the Lands cabinet secretary to consider issuing land title deeds to Nakuru residents. This will help curb land conflicts,” he said.

Mbugua further called on the ministry, together with the National Lands Commission (NLC), to address land injustices that date back many years.

He said that Nakuru is among counties with the highest number of unsettled land injustices which he said contributes to frequent conflicts.

The former administration police commandant said the county is ready to work with the national government to ensure land injustices are adequately addressed.
