Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama says his government has put measures in place to ensure youths are empowered economically.

Nyagarama said already his government has initiated a project of setting up a youth polytechnic at Kiendege in Kitutu Masaba constituency.

"My government has already put measures in place to ensure that we build a youth polytechnic to empower our youths at Kiendege of which his construction has commenced," said Nyagarama.

He spoke Wednesday during the Madaraka Day celebrations at Nyamaiya stadium. 

The county boss further urged parents to allow their children acquire technical skills which will help them play a key role in improving the countries economy.

"Industries are playing a key role in improving the economy of Kenya and i urge parents whose children cannot be able to join universities to allow them join technical learning institutions to acquire necessary skills for them to be able to work in our industries," added Nyagarama.
