Kiambu governor William Kabogo has pledged to support youth entrepreneurial activities.
Speaking at Kiambu town on Monday, Kabogo intimated that his government has set aside enough money to train youths on business.
He said that entrepreneurial activities will breach the unemployment curb adding that youth should come forward and present their ideas.
“My government will support young people who are ready and willing business ventures,” he said.
The governor added that his government will support polices and employ various mechanisms meant to address unemployment.
Kabogo called on youths and women to the first step and apply for development funds being provide by the county and the national government.
He said that despite the existence of the funds, many youths are not showing interest stating that the move is dangerous especially to development.
The county boss added that unemployment would be fought only if young people show interest I the activities and programmes being offered by the government.
Kabogo asked leaders in the county to support him as the county government works on ways of curbing unemployment.
