A section of residents has threatened to call for peaceful demonstrations if Kisii county governor James Ongwae attempts to recycle non-performing officers.
Speaking at a Kisii hotel on Monday the residents led by Kepher Nyasimi said that they want the governor to ensure that he nominates be county executives who will ensure that they deliver on their mandates and also bring in a breath of fresh air in the operations of the County.
“The county struggles for the last four years in terms of service delivery and we don’t that to occur and the solution is to ensure that we have new county executives” he added
They said they would not condone efforts to sneak in lazy CEC members and Chief Officers who served in the previous term.
This comes after Ongwae announced that he would constitute his Cabinet within the course of the month, with reports claiming that he might recycle some of his old officers.
They also warned the Deputy Governor Joash Maangi whom they said was too idle in the last regime, should be appointed to head the Administration docket.
"Maangi never delivered what we expected him to do in the last term in office and we expect him to ensure that he works closely to the governor for better service delivery for the locals" he added.
