Political leaders have been asked to allow President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto to craft a cabinet that will spearhead implementation of the Jubilee manifesto.

Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has further dismissed reports of divisions in the Jubilee party's top leadership over the cabinet slots.

Speaking at Tindinyo Catholic Church during a Mavuno service, the youthful governor claimed there were a group of politicians out to create a rift between the President and his deputy.

The Jubilee governor, however, said attempts to split the two will hit a snag.

"We as Jubilee leadership in the North Rift have total confidence in the President and his deputy and this is why we are asking politicians to stop trying to create a rift between the two. We should allow them to craft a cabinet that will deliver the big-four agenda and Jubilee manifesto," Sang noted.

"The friendship and bond that exist between the two (Kenyatta and Ruto) are beyond politics as it's based on a transformative agenda and anyone trying to break it is doing so in vain," he added. The governor also exuded confidence that the region will be represented in the cabinet.
